History
Five years after the traumatic Lost Incident, Yusaku Fujiki becomes the vigilante hacker Playmaker and dives into Link VRAINS, a virtual reality network, to hunt down the criminal organization Knights of Hanoi. Backed by Ai, an Ignis artificial intelligence, he discovers that six AIs born from a secret program are being hunted by forces fearing their potential, drawing him into a war between humans and artificial intelligences.
